Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund
The Jeannette Rankin Women’s Scholarship Fund is a national organization that awards scholarships to women over 35 who want to pursue higher education. Soroptimists, founded in 1921 at a time when women weren’t permitted to join service organizations, work both locally and globally to improve the lives of women. Our name, meaning “best for women,” underscores our dedication to aiding them achieve economic empowerment.
Soroptimists work to combat domestic violence, sex trafficking and poverty. Additionally, they provide education to women and girls that improves their health, economic status and human rights.
For instance, Watsonville Soroptimists offer college scholarships to graduating young women from Watsonville High School. This traditional program in Pajaro Valley encourages individuals to reach their educational objectives and pursue personal growth.

American Association of University Women
AAUW is one of the world’s largest funders of women’s graduate education, research and community projects. Its dedicated staff works to break down educational and economic barriers so that all women have an equal chance at success.
The AAUW Educational Foundation awards fellowships and grants to women pursuing advanced degrees or certificates, or conducting research that contributes to public good. Furthermore, the AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund assists with sex discrimination lawsuits.

General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Massachusetts
